Joe Biden was born on November 20th, 1942 in Scranton, Pennsylvania. He would grow up to become a United States Senator, and the 47th Vice President of the United States.
Joe Biden has been married twice and is a father to four children:
Neilia Hunter (1966-1972) whom he fathered Joseph R. “Beau” Biden III, Robert Hunter Biden, and Naomi Chritina Biden with.
Jill Tracy Jacobs (1977-current) whom he fathered his youngest, Ashley Blazer Biden, with.
Biden graduated with a Bachelor’s degree, with a double major in history and political science, in 1965 from the University of Delaware. He played college football while enrolled. He would later go on to study at the Syracuse University College of Law to earn a law degree in 1968.
In 1968, before becoming a member of the United States Senate, Biden practiced law as a public defender in Wilmington, Delaware. Later in 1969, he would run and win the race to represent the 4th district on the New Castle County Council.
Biden would begin his United States Senate campaign in 1972. He faced off against incumbent republican Senator J. Caleb Boggs, and would win the election on November 7th, 1972, byt 3,162 votes. Biden would remain office from January 1973 to January 2009.
Biden was chosen as former President Obama’s VP running mate in the 2008 election. Obama and Biden were elected on November 4th, 2008. The two would serve two presidential terms in the White House until January 20th, 2016.
Now Biden is currently running as the currently-projected democratic nominee for the 2020 Presidential Election. He will formally accept the nomination at the Democratic National Convention on August 17th – 20th, 2020.
